The Meridian Information and Event Guide

from their website:Introducing The Meridian, Downtown Houston's newest concert, party and special events venue. Located at 1503 Chartres, on the 59 feeder between Leeland and Bell, across from the Brown Convention Center and Toyota Center, the Venue is right in the heart of the newest up and coming section of downtown.There are three rooms that can be rented separately or as a package to handle a variety of events. The rooms are on the second floor with a panoramic view of Houston's beautiful skyline providing a dramatic backdrop.The Meridian is at 1503 Chartres, next door to Kim Son restaurant. What makes the Meridian so cool? The building used to be a storage unit for frozen fish. Its air conditioning unit is powerful enough to stop global warming."A lot of smaller clubs are like saunas. This one will stay cool on the hottest night in summer. The building is totally renovated and very comfortable for the fan," said Clear Channel Entertainment spokeswoman Julie Johnson.
